Solo Cups & Straws

One of our favorite customers has been Guard-Lee, Inc. Look closely at this picture of Solo Cups with Straws. Look over toward the lower right and you will see a table with a hammer on it. Now you know how big these things were. And that silver-nosed thing in the upper left? Yup, that's the Space Shuttle. Guard-Lee makes Full-Size and Scale Models of all kinds of cool things. We were able to cut some aluminum parts that were used in the Full-Size Replica of the International Space Station at Kennedy Space Center. Another job we worked on was the black "Tiles" for one of the Space Shuttle Replicas. We also got to make several of the parts in these Solo Cups. In fact, I think this may have been the first job we did for Guard-Lee. The bottoms and lids were cut out of 3/8"-thick and 3/4"-thick Clear Acrylic. All needed the proper tapered edges to match the gentle taper of the Cups. Guard-Lee then added the "Skin" for the cup itself and the Straws. Here's their address & website...
